My name, is Luke Sherrell, and I am a part of the 2021 graduation class. I started playing golf when I learned to walk. Over the years, I have enjoyed playing Basketball, Baseball, Tennis, Ping Pong, and Football. But my favorite has always been Golf. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hanging out with family and friends, and bow hunting. When I go to college, I plan to study Mechanical Engineering. I am a team player with a competitive core who brings leadership and a positive attitude to the team.
I like to play golf with my friends, but I love to compete. The greatest feeling in golf, is the feeling of flow. The feeling of shooting 65 without even pressing a single shot. The feeling of walking down 18 and not noticing that four hours have just flown by, that is why I play golf.
My 2019 goals are to win WJGA State, and finish top five at the FCWT Championship. Long term, I want to work and improve so I can earn a college golf scholarship that will allow me to compete on the traveling team while earning my degree. Eventually I see myself being successful on the PGA Tour and afterwards designing and building golf clubs.
